Day 1 - Ahichhatra
Beginning the year auspiciously with a 9 day pilgrimage. How graced we are to be with Param Pujya Bhaishree today at Ahichhatra, the very site where Lord Parshvanath was tested by Kamath and protected by Padmavati and Dharnendra!
The Lord is celebrated for his equanimity, and mumukshus could revel in the presence of Bhaishree, a living embodiment of equanimity, as he admired and worshipped the Lord at both the wonderful Digambar Temple and the beautiful Svetambar Temple.
૯ દિવસની સદગુરુદેવની નિશ્રામાં નૂતન વર્ષની શુભ માંગલિક શરૂઆત થઈ. આપણે કેટલા પરમ નસીબવંત છીએ કે કરુણાસાગર પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી સાથે અહીં અહિછત્ર યાત્રાધામમાં છીએ કે જ્યાં ભગવાન પાર્શ્વનાથની કમઠે કષ્ટ-કસોટી કરી હતી અને પદમાવતી માતા અને ધરણેન્દ્ર દેવે ભગવાનને રક્ષણ આપ્યું હતું.
ભગવાન પાર્શ્વનાથ તેમની સમદ્રષ્ટિ, તેમના સમભાવ માટે પ્રખ્યાત છે, જયારે અહીં મુમુક્ષુઓ સમભાવના જીવંત ઉદાહરણ રૂપે પ્રત્યક્ષ – સ્થૂળ સ્વરૂપે પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી સાથે ભવ્ય ઉજવણી – ઉત્સવ માણી રહ્યા છે. પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી પણ કેટલા નિખાલસતાથી અને સમભાવથી બન્ને ભવ્ય મંદિરોમાં (દિગંબર તેમજ શ્વેતાંબર મંદિર) સમાન રીતે ભગવાનના ગુણગ્રામ અને પૂજન કરે છે.
Day 2 - Ahichhatra
The second day of the Jatra began with Puja and Chaitya Vandan at Ahichhatra.
While many temples have Padmavati Mata installled, it is rare indeed to see Shri Dharnendra, of whom we also had Darshan.
One of the Parshvanathji idols (2nd photo) is over 2,000 years old.
ધર્મયાત્રાનો બીજો દિવસ અહિછત્ર ક્ષેત્ર પૂજન અને ચૈત્યવંદનથી શરુ થયો.
લગભગ બધી જગ્યાએ પદમાવતી માતાની પ્રતિમાજી હોય છે અને કોઈક જ જગ્યાએ ધરણેન્દ્રદેવની પ્રતિમાજી હોય છે. અહીં આ ક્ષેત્રે ધરણેન્દ્રદેવનાં દર્શન થયા.
પાર્શ્વનાથ ભગવાનની પ્રતિમાઓમાંની એક પ્રતિમાજી (બીજો ફોટો) ૨૦૦૦ વર્ષ પ્રાચીન હતા.
Day 2 - Kampila
“અમીભરી મૂર્તિ રચી રે, ઉપમા ન ઘટે કોય,
શાંત સુધારસ ઝીલતી રે, નિરખત તૃપ્તિ ન હોય,
વિમલ જિન દીઠા લોયણ આજ,
મારાં સીધ્યાં વાંછિત કાજ.”
“At the idol of immortal nectar I stare
Impossible to compare,
In peaceful sweet nectar, drenched
The thirst to see you never quenched,
Oh Lord Vimal, purely with your vision,
All my wishes attained fruition.”
Today we worshipped Lord Vimalnath at Kampila, the ancient Panchal capital, site of His first four Kalyanaks. Bhaishree remarked that the central idol had an impactful quality to it. At the temple there are separate sanctuaries dedicated to each of the Kalyanaks, as well as an ancient 3,000 year old Murti.
This sacred land has also been visited by Lord Mahavir himself and given rise to two Chakravartis.
આજે ભગવાન વિમલનાથની ભક્તિ કંપીલામાં બધા મુમુક્ષુઓએ કરી. કંપીલા શહેર પૂર્વે પાંચાલ રાજ્યનું રાજધાની હતું. ભગવાનના ૪ કલ્યાણકોમાંનું આ પહેલું કલ્યાણક છે. પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીએ નિરીક્ષણ કર્યું કે મધ્યમાં રહેલી પ્રતિમાજી ભવ્ય-સચોટ અસરકારક છે. આ મંદિરમાં દરેક કલ્યાણક માટે અલગ મંદિર છે અને પ્રતિમાજી પણ ૩૦૦૦ વર્ષ પ્રાચીન છે.
આ પવિત્ર યાત્રાસ્થળ ભગવાન મહાવીરસ્વામીથી પણ પાવન થયેલું છે અને બે ચક્રવર્તી રાજાઓ અહીં થયેલા છે.
Day 3 - Shauripur
Oh Lord, so moved by the sight of animal oppression,
You changed the course of your wedding procession.
Your bride was at first, difficult to console.
You calmed her and turned her towards her soul.
Your transformation has demonstrated for us the path.
We revere you, your life and message, Lord Neminath.
In this secluded and lush setting, near the banks of the Yamuna, abundant with conscious life forms, our pilgrimage continued to Shauripur, the site of the Chyavan (conception) (4th photo) and Janma (birth) (3rd photo) Kalyanaks of the 22nd Tirthankar Lord Neminath.
The ancient Svetambar temple site is being reconstructed with a temple for each Kalyanak.
Param Pujya Bhaishree said to all pilgrims that the day was auspicious as we were able to perform Chaitya Vandan in the open air, with the sun appearing during the otherwise cold season and the very fortuitous appearance of a number of mattresses for us to sit on.
At the neighbouring Digambar Temple, Bhaishree commented that the face of one of the standing idols had a very impressive expression (1st photo).
ઓ ભગવાન ! પશુઓ ઉપરના જુલ્મના દ્રશ્યથી અંદરથી હચમચી ગયેલા એવા આપે લગ્નોત્સવના વરઘોડાની દિશા જ બદલાવી નાખી.
સૌ પ્રથમ તો આપની નવવધુને દિલાસો આપવો જ મુશ્કેલ હતો. પણ આપે તો તેને શાંત કરીને તેની બાહ્યદ્રષ્ટિને ફેરવીને આત્મા તરફ વાળીને આંતરદ્રષ્ટિમાં પરિવર્તન કર્યું.
આપનું આ પ્રકારનું રૂપાંતર અમારા માટે માર્ગ પામવાનું માર્ગદર્શન છે.
અમો આપને, આપના જીવનને અને આપના સંદેશને, હે નેમિનાથ ભગવાન, ઘણા ઉત્કૃષ્ટ ભાવથી પૂજીએ છીએ.
યમુના નદીના કિનારાઓ ઉપરના આ એકાંત અને ચમકતા રંગભૂમિનાં માળખ અને પુષ્કળ જીવંત આકૃત્તિ પશ્ચાદભૂમિકામાં આપણા યાત્રાળુઓ ૨૨માં તીર્થકર નેમિનાથ ભગવાનના ચ્યવન કલ્યાણક (૪થો ફોટો) અને જન્મકલ્યાણક (૩જો ફોટો) માટેની શૌરીપૂરીના જાત્રા ચાલુ રાખી.
પ્રાચીન શ્વેતાંબર દેરાસરનું પુનઃનિર્માણ થઈ રહ્યું છે, જેમાં દરેક કલ્યાણકનું એક મંદિર હશે.
Day 3 - Soami Bagh, Agra
The importance of the presence of a living True Guru in our lives was literally written large all over the walls and pervading the peaceful and absorbing atmosphere of the Holy Samadh at Soami Bagh in Dayalbagh, Agra.
જીવંત સદગુરુની ઉપસ્થિતિનું માહાત્મ્ય આપણા જીવનમાં શું અને કેટલું છે તે ખૂબ જ મોટા પ્રમાણમાં અને બધી જ દિવાલો ઉપર વાસ્તવિક લખાયેલું હતું, અને પવિત્ર ‘સમાધ’ આગ્રાના દયાલબાગના સ્વામીબાગમાં શાંત વાતાવરણની અંદર ગુંથાઈને એકમેક થઈ ગઈ હતી.
‘સમાધ’ એક ભવ્ય શોભાયમાન મકાન-આકૃતિ છે, જે બધાની નજર પકડી રાખે છે. બે ગુંબજ ઉપર ત્રાંબાના કળશથી, સફેદ આરસ ખૂબ ચમકતાથી પ્રકાશે છે.
The Samadhi is a magnificent structure which captures the attention. With a double dome, topped with a copper Kalash, its white marble shines brightly. The building is adorned with beautiful carvings of marble and the inlay of various semi-precious stones, depicting flowers and vegetables. The attractive delicacy of carving demonstrates devotion and dedication. The Samadhi houses the Ashes of the founder of the Radhasoami tradition, Soamiji Maharaji and his wife Radhaji Maharaj.
પુરું મકાન આરસની સુ્ંદર કલાકૃતિથી શણગારવામાં આવ્યું છે, જેની અંદરની કોતરણી વિવિધ પ્રકારનાં અર્ધ કિંમતી પથ્થરનાં ફૂલો અને શાકભાજીથી ચિતરાયેલા છે. સુંદર આકર્ષક કોતરણી અને તેની નજાકત બતાવે છે કે તેમની ભક્તિ અને અર્પણતા કેવી (ઊંચી) છે !
‘સમાધ’ માં રાધાસ્વામી માર્ગના સ્થાપક સ્વામીજી મહારાજ અને તેમના ધર્મપત્ની રાધાજી મહારાજની સ્મૃતિઓ - તેમની ભસ્મ તરીકે રહેલી છે.
All over the walls, there are quotations from the teachings of the various Sant Gurus of the Radhasoami tradition, written out in Gold. Pilgrims were moved and greatly inspired, finding much in common between those words and our path.
બધી જ દિવાલો ઉપર, રાધાસ્વામી માર્ગમાં થયેલા સંતો-ગુરુઓની શિક્ષાઓના અવતરણ સોનાથી લખાયેલા છે. આ બધા અવતરણો અને આપણા મોક્ષમાર્ગનું ઘણું બધું સામ્યપણું જોઈને બધા જાત્રાળુઓ ખૂબ આશ્ચર્યચક્તિ અને પ્રેરણામય બન્યા.
The great peace of the Samadhi was experienced by sadhaks as they sat in meditation in the central space.
On speaking with the architect responsible for the plans, Bhaishree learnt they there is a number of sound tunnels, channelling the sound away from the inner hall and keeping the space conducive to satsang and meditation.
While mumukshus were inspired by the scale and beauty of the building, we were mostly moved by the powerful words and the remarkable connection with our own faith. How fortunate that Param Pujya Bhaishree continues to identify the truth in all traditions and faiths and to direct our thoughts away from sectarianism and towards truth in all its forms.
ધ્યાન કેન્દ્રમાં બેસીને ધ્યાન કરતાં સાધકોને ખૂબ શાંતિનો અનુભવ થયો.
‘સમાધ’ ના પ્લાનીંગ આર્કીટેક્ટ સાથેની વાતચીત દરમ્યાન પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીને જાણવા મળ્યું કે અહીં ઘણા બધા અવાજ-વાહક છે. અંદરના હોલમાંથી અવાજને એવી રીતે એક ચેનલથી બહાર કાઢી લેવામાં આવે છે કે જેથી તે જગ્યા ધ્યાન અને સત્સંગ માટે ખૂબ સહાયકારી – અનુકુળ થઈ જાય.
બધા જ મુમુક્ષુઓ સંકુલની વિશાળતા અને સુંદરતાથી આકર્ષિત અને પ્રેરણામયી બન્યા પણ વધારે તો ખૂબ જોરદાર સંદેશાવાળું લખાણ અને તે પણ આપણા માર્ગને સંપૂર્ણ અનુસરતું અને સંબંધ ધરાવતું. આપણે કેટલા ભાગ્યશાળી છીએ કે પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી આપણને બધા જ પંથ અને તેમની માન્યતાઓમાંથી શું સત્ય છે તે બતાવતા રહે છે અને આપણા વિચારોને મતભેદ-વિભાગમાંથી દૂર કરીને બધા જ પ્રકારના સત્ય તરફ વાળે છે.
Day 3 - Agra
In the heart of the old city of Agra, with its narrow, bustling streets is a small haven of peace.
We associate the city with Mughal power and grandeur. Emperor Akbar was a great warrior, but also a thoughtful, open-hearted man. He had formed a strong connection to the Jain monk, Hirvijay Suri, Acharya of the Tapa Gaccha in part of the 16th Century. Recalling the December Shibir, his name surely appears in the list of great Jain prabhavaks.
પ્રાચીન આગ્રા શહેરની મધ્યમાં, સાંકડી અને માણસોની પ્રવૃત્તિઓથી ધમધમતી ગલીઓમાં શાંતિનું સ્વર્ગ છે.
આ શહેરને આપણે ભપકાભરી મુગલ બાદશાહીથી જાણીએ છીએ. અકબર બાદશાહ મહાન યોધ્ધા હતા, પણ સાથોસાથ ખૂબ વિચારશીલ અને ખુલ્લા હૃદયના માણસ હતા. સોળમાં સૈકાના સમયમાં તેમણે જૈન તપા ગચ્છના આચાર્ય શ્રી હીરવિજયજી સુરી મહારાજ સાહેબ સાથે ગાઢ સંબંધ બાંધ્યો હતો. આપણી ડીસેમ્બર મહીનાની શિબિરમાં મહાન જૈન પ્રભાવકોમાં તેમના નામનો ચોક્કસ ઉલ્લેખ થયો છે.
In the neighbourhood of the Jama Masjid, can be found the peaceful Chintamani Parshvanath temple. It is remarkable for the Mughal style design over the central idol.
At this temple can be found a statue of the great monk Hirvijayji (3rd photo) and also his Charan Paduka (signifying his lotus feet).
જામા મસ્જીદની બાજુમાં જ શાંતિપૂર્ણ ચિંતામણી પાર્શ્વનાથ મંદિર આવેલું છે. વચ્ચેની પ્રતિમાજીની કલાકૃતિ - બાંધણી મુગલ ફેશન મુજબની હોઈ ખાસ ધ્યાન ખેંચે છે. આ મંદિરમાં મહાન સાધુ હીરવિજયજી મહારાજ સાહેબનું પૂતળું તથા ચરણકમળ પાદુકા છે.
During construction of the Jama Masjid, an idol of Lord Shitalnath was found. It is currently located in the same structure as the Chintamani Parshvanath temple, and is worshipped by both Digambar and Svetambar communities.
જામા મસ્જીદના નિર્માણ સમયે ભગવાન શીતલનાથની પ્રતિમાં (પહેલો ફોટો) મળી આવી હતી, હાલ ચિંતામણી પાર્શ્વનાથ મંદિરમાં તેનું સ્થાપન કરેલ છે. દિંગબર તેમજ શ્વેતાંબર બન્ને જૈન સમુદાય તેમનું પૂજન-ભક્તિ કરે છે.
When we think of a Jain monk without possession, able to influence a great Emperor with reason and conduct alone, we soon realise the power of Bhaishree's love and inner realisation as it turns us inwards towards our own potentially greatest conquests.
જ્યારે આપણે વિચારીએ કે જૈન સાધુ મહારાજ, જેની પાસે કંઈ નથી, તે ફક્ત પોતાના વર્તન-વાણી-પ્રજ્ઞાથી મહાન શહેનશાહ ઉપર કેવી અસર કરે છે ત્યારે તરત જ આપણને પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીના નિર્મળ પ્રેમ અને તેમની અંદરની વાસ્તવિક તત્વની શક્તિનો ખ્યાલ આવે છે કે તેઓશ્રી આપણી અંદર ધરબાયેલી (સુષુપ્ત અવસ્થામાં રહેલી) શક્તિને કઈ રીતે સર્વોચ્ચ વિજય તરફ, આત્મ-સાક્ષાત્કાર તરફ વાળે છે.
Day 4 - Taj Mahal, Agra
In Agra stands a great monument to Love,
Its dome, spires and minarets reach for the sky above.
Even the beloved of an emperor is ultimately frail,
Despite imperial might, attempts at immortality will fail.
You build us with your sheer monumental Love,
Lifting us up with your wisdom from above.
You clearly show us our distinction from our body frail.
On your path we will realise immortality without fail.
આગ્રામાં પ્રેમના પ્રતિક સમું તાજમહેલ સ્મારક ઊભું છે. તેના ગુંબજ, ઘુમ્મરના શિખર અને મિનારા જાણે આકાશને આંબે છે.
શહેનશાહની પ્રિયતમા પણ છેવટે તો નાશવંત છે. બાદશાહી શક્તિ-તાકાત પણ અમરત્વ તરફના પ્રયત્નોમાં નિષ્ફળ નીવડે છે.
પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી,આપ આપના શાશ્વત અને યાદ રહે એવા નિર્મળ પ્રેમથી અમારું ઘડતર કરો છો. આપની ઉચ્ચ પ્રજ્ઞા વડે અમને દુન્યવી વસ્તુથી ઉપર ઉઠાવી લીધા છે. શરીરની ક્ષણિકતાથી અલગ અમારા અસ્તિત્વની ઓળખ આપો છો, તો અમે આપના બનાવેલા માર્ગ પર ચાલીને શાશ્વત આત્માને અનુભવી શકશું એમાં શંકા કે નિષ્ફળતાને સ્થાન નથી જ.
Day 5 - Gwalior
The city of Gwalior has great natural defences and a strong fort. Yet, many dynasties have come and gone. From time to time the Gwalior Jain merchant community has flourished. At those times, their devotion has found expression in the beauty of their temples.
About 200 years ago, the Svetambar community built a wonderful ornately carved temple (2nd, 3rd and 4th photos), decorated lavishly with great colour, as well as mirror work. Pilgrims worshipped at this temple this morning. Being a small community, the leaders soon gathered and gave Param Pujya Bhaishree great respect.
ગ્વાલીયર શહેરની કુદરતી રચના મોટા પ્રમાણમાં રક્ષણાત્મક છે, સાથે મજબૂત કિલ્લો પણ છે. વંશપરંપરામાં અને વારસામાં ઘણા રાજવીઓ આવ્યા અને ગયા. સમયાંતરે ગ્વાલીયરના જૈન વેપારી સમુદાય ઘણી પ્રગતિ કરીને સુખી થયો. એ સમય દરમ્યાન તેમનો જૈન ધર્મ પ્રત્યે ભક્તિભાવ પણ વધ્યો અને એ ભક્તિ તેમણે બનાવેલા સુંદર ભવ્ય મંદિરોમાં પ્રદર્શિત થાય છે.
લગભગ ૨૦૦ વર્ષ પહેલા, શ્વેતામ્બર સમાજે અલંકારિત કલાકૃતિ કરેલ ભવ્ય મંદિર બનાવ્યું, જે પ્રતિબિંબ પાડતા આભલાઓ તથા મહત્વપૂર્ણ વિવિધ રંગોથી સુશોભિત બન્યું. બધા જાત્રાળુઓએ સવારે અહીં ભક્તિ-પૂજા કરી. અહીંનો જૈન સમાજ ઘણો નાનો હોવાથી, સંઘના આગેવાનો તુરત જ ભેગા થઈ ગયા અને પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીનું ભવ્ય સન્માન કર્યું.
About 315 years ago the Digambar community built the Golden Jain Temple of Gwalior, the Swarn Temple (1st photo), using over 80kg of gold to decorate glorious temple, with many of the idols dating from the 13th century of the Vikram Era.
In this way, the communities have gifted us these beautiful spaces to worship Lord Parshwanath.
Witnessing Bhaishree in these temples allows us the chance to see his great love for the Tirthankars and their path. In his immense compassion he strives in every way to inspire us to take the advantage of the golden opportunity we have in this life with the guidance of a True Guru.
લગભગ ૩૧૫ વર્ષ પહેલાં, દિગમ્બર સમાજે ગ્વાલીયરમાં સુવર્ણનું મંદિર બનાવ્યું, જે ‘સ્વર્ણમંદિર’ છે, જેમાં ૧૩ સૈકા પ્રાચીન પ્રતિમાજી છે. આ ભવ્ય મંદિરને અલંકૃત કરવામાં ૮૦ કીલો સોનું વપરાયુ્ં છે. આ રીતે ત્યાંના જૈન સમાજે આપણને ભગવાન પાર્શ્વનાથની સ્તુતિ-પૂજા કરવા માટે ખૂબ સુંદર જગ્યાની ભેટ આપી છે.
પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીને આ મંદિરોમાં ફરતા, પૂજા કરતા, ભગવાનના ગુણગ્રામ કરતાં જોઈને, આપણને તીર્થકર ભગવાન તથા તેમણે બતાવેલ મોક્ષમાર્ગ તરફની પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીની અનન્ય પ્રીતિ-ભક્તિ નિહાળવાની તક મળે છે. તેમની અપાર અનંત કરુણાથી દરેક ક્ષણે અને દરેક રીતે આપણને પ્રત્યક્ષ સદગુરુની નિશ્રામાં આવી સોનેરી તકનો લાભ લેવા સતત પ્રેરણા આપ્યા કરે છે.
Day 5 - Gwalior - Gopachal Parvat
At a site on the mountainside now called Gopachal Parvat are celebrations to a spiritual victory, damaged by a military conqueror.
Idols of various Tirthankars can be found carved from the living rock in sculptured acts of devotion during the reign of the Tomar dynasty. Various carvings here and at other sites have been made from the 7th to 15th centuries CE onwards.
The carvings were desecrated in 1527 when the Mughal Emperor Babur captured the fort. Despite this damage, the spirit of the sculptures remains, a result of devotion, and the totally equanimous conquest of the Jinas.
How blessed we are to have a master sculpture in Bhaishree to remove any blemishes and to realise the divinity within.
પર્વત બાજુની જગ્યા, જેને ગોપાચલ પર્વત કહે છે ત્યાં ઘણા વિજયી ઉત્સવો થયા છે. લડાયક જીત મેળવનારે નુકશાન પણ પહોંચાડયું છે.
તોમાર રાજવંશના શાશન દરમ્યાન અલગ અલગ તીર્થંકર ભગવાનની પ્રતિમાઓ, જીવંત પહાડમાં શિલ્પશાસ્ત્રકળાની ભક્તિથી કોતરાયેલી નજર પડે છે. અહીંયા તેમજ બીજી જગ્યાએ જે જુદા જુદા કોતરણી કામ થયા છે તે ૭ મા સૈકાથી ૧૫ મા સૈકાના ગાળામાં થયેલા છે.
૧૫૨૭ ની સાલમાં જ્યારે મુગલ બાદશાહ બાબરે આ કિલ્લો જીતી લીધો ત્યારે આ બધી કળાકૃતિઓને ભષ્ટ કરી દેવામાં આવી હતી. નુકશાન થવા છતાં શીલ્પકાળનો પ્રાણ જીવંત રહ્યો તેના કારણમાં ભગવાન પ્રત્યેની ભક્તિ અને જીનવાણીનો સંપૂર્ણ સમભાવ.
આપણે કેટલા ભાગ્યવંત છીએ કે પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી આપણી અંદર રહેલ કષાયોરૂપી કચરો કાઢીને આપણી અંદર રહેલ દિવ્યતાનો અનુભવ કરાવે છે.
Day 6 - Sonagiri
On the way to Jhansi, Param Pujya Bhaishree along with seekers had the opportunity to climb the mountain of Sonagiri, a sacred place from which 55 million souls have attained Moksha.
The Samavasaran (Divine Assembly) of Lord Chandraprabhu was held here 17 times.
There is a rock carving of Lord Chandraphu from the 5th or 6th century CE, along with 77 temples.
The main temple, renovated over 750 years ago, houses an even more ancient 11 foot idol of Lord Chandraprabhu carved directly from the rock.
ઝાંસી જતા રસ્તામાં, પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી અને જાત્રાળુઓને સોનાગીરી પર્વત ચઢવાની તક મળી કે જ્યાંથી સાડા પાંચ કરોડ આત્માઓ મોક્ષ-મુક્તિને પામ્યા.
આ જગ્યાએ ચંદ્રપ્રભુ ભગવાનના સમયસરણની સભા ૧૭ વખત થયેલ હતી.
ખડકમાંથી કંડારાયેલી ૫ કે ૬ સેકામાં બનાવાયેલી ચંદ્રપ્રભુની પ્રતિમાજી અને ૭૭ જૈન મંદિરો અહીં રહેલા છે.
મુખ્ય મંદિરનો જિર્ણોદ્ધાર ૭૫૦ વર્ષ પહેલા થયો હતો કે જ્યાં ૧૧ ફૂટ ઊંચી ચંદ્રપ્રભુજીની વધુ પ્રાચીન પ્રતિમાજી, સીધા ખડકમાંથી કંડારાયેલા જોવા મળે છે.
Day 6 - Jhansi
Param Pujya Bhaishree today met with the great Digambar Acharya Vishuddha Sagar Ji and 21 other Digamber monks.
The two great souls had a meaningful conversation about Samyak Darshan.
Param Pujya expressed his feeling that this first meeting could develop a deeper connection over time.
પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી મહાન દિગમ્બર આચાર્ય શ્રી વિશુધ્ધિ સાગરજી મહારાજ સાહેબને તથા બીજા ૨૧ સાધુ મહારાજને મળ્યા.
બન્ને મહાન આત્માઓએ સમ્યગદર્શન વિષે અર્થપૂર્ણ ચર્ચા કરી. પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીએ જણાવ્યું કે આ પહેલી મીટીંગ સમયાંતરે ઊંડા સંબંધોમાં પરિણમી શકે.
Day 7 - Devgadh
Devgadh, the fort of Gods, is a wonderful historical site, set on a hill overlooking the Betwa River.
There are 40 Jain temples here with over 1,000+ idols dating from the 4th to 12th centuries. We worshipped here with Bhaishree and then completed a brief tour of the site.
દેવોનો ગઢ એટલે દેવગઢ, આ શહેર ટેકરી પર બેટવા નદીને નિહાળતું એક અદભુત ઐતિહાસિક જગ્યા છે.
ત્યાં ૪૦ જૈન મંદિરો છે, જેમાં ૧૦૦૦ કરતાં વધારે પ્રતિમાજી ૪થા સૈકાથી ૧૨માં સૈકા સુધીના રહેલા છે. પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી સાથે જાત્રાળુઓએ ભક્તિ કરી અને એ જગ્યાને નાનું પર્યટન કર્યું. ઘણી બધી પ્રાચીન પ્રતિમાજીનું ખંડન થયેલું છે, છતાં કલા-કારીગરીનું સૌંદર્ય તથા પ્રતિમાજીના મુખમુદ્રાના ભાવ પ્રભાવક રહ્યા છે.
Many of the ancient idols are damaged yet the beauty of the art, and the expressions on the idols remain impactful. When the site was renovated, many of the damaged idols were set into the surrounding walls, making an impressive site.
Param Pujya Bhaishree was moved. He said: "The longer we look at this place, the more and more we feel its impact (prabhaav)."
જ્યારે આ જગ્યાનું પુન:નિર્માણ કરવામાં આવ્યું ત્યારે નુકશાન પામેલી પ્રતિમાજીઓ તેને ફરતી દિવાલોમાં બંધબેસતી કરવામાં આવેલી, જેથી તે અસરકારક જગ્યા બની ગઈ છે.
પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીને આ જગ્યા ઘણી અસર કરી ગઈ અને કહ્યું કે જેમ જેમ આ જગ્યાને વધારે જોઈએ છીએ તેમ તેમ તેનો પ્રભાવ આપણને વધારે લાગે છે.
Day 7 - Lalitpur
Param Pujya Bhaishree met Digambar Acharya Vinishchay Sagar in Lalitpur.
Param Pujya Bhaishree and the Acharya had a mutually respectful and profound conversation about Samyag Darshan.
Acharyaji had read a few letters by Param Krupalu Dev Shrimad Rajchandra. Bhaishree explained to him the relationship with Pujya Saubjagbhai, and the lineage at Sayla.
Bhaishree invited Vinishchay Sagar ji to visit Sayla when he was next in the region. The Acharya joked that he spoke no Gujarati, but Bhaishree countered that in Dharma there is no language barrier.
પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી દિગમ્બર આચાર્ય વિનિશ્ચયસાગર મહારાજ સાહેબને લલિતપુરમાં મળ્યા.
બન્નેને અરસપરસ ખૂબ આદર-સન્માન હતું અને સમ્યગદર્શન વિષે ઘણી ઊંડી ચર્ચા-વિચારણા કરી.
આચાર્યજીએ પરમ કૃપાળુ દેવ શ્રીમદ રાજચંદ્રજીના કેટલાક પત્રોનું વાંચન કરેલ હતું. પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીએ તેમને પરમ કૃપાળુ દેવ અને પૂજ્ય સૌભાગભાઈ વચ્ચેના સંબંધ અને ગુરૂ-શિષ્યની વંશ પરંપરાની સમજણ આપી.
પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીએ આચાર્ય વિનિશ્ચય સાગરજી મહારાજને જ્યારે તેઓ ગુજરાત તરફ વિહાર કરતા હોય ત્યારે સાયલા પધારવાનું આમંત્રણ આપ્યું, ત્યારે આચાર્યે મજાકમાં કહ્યું કે, ‘હું ગુજરાતી બોલતો નથી’. પણ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીએ તેના જવાબમાં કહ્યું કે ધર્મની અંદર ભાષા કોઈ રીતે અડચણરૂપ થતી નથી.
Day 8 - Papauraji
Papauraji is like a small walled citadel with beautiful white domes and a large numbers of spires. There are 76 temples, housing 108 inner sancta (Ghabhara). Many idols date from over 800 years ago, while many temples date from the 18th to 19th centuries.

Param Pujya Bhaishree met with the Digamnar nun Adarshmata Satiji, disciple of Acharya Vidyasagarji. He explained to her the regular pattern of shibirs held in which mumukshus of different levels strive, with Samyag Darshan, as the focus (laksh). She asked a number of questions related to dhyan and swadhyay, and commented that the food we eat should be conducive to meditation, as well as our conduct outside of shibirs.
પપૌરાજી એ દિવાલોથી ઘેરાયેલો એક નાનો કિલ્લો છે, જેની અંદર ખૂબસુરત સફેદ ગુંબજ અને શંકુ આકારના ઘણા બધા નાના મિનારા (ઘુમ્મટ) છે. અહીંયા ૭૬ જૈન મંદિરો છે અને ૧૦૮ અંદરના પવિત્ર ગભારા છે. ઘણી પ્રતિમાજીઓ ૮૦૦ વર્ષથી વધુ પ્રાચીન છે, જયારે ઘણા મંદિરો ૧૮ અને ૧૯ સૈકાના છે.
પરમ પૂજય ભાઈશ્રીએ ખાસ નોંધ લીધી કે કમળ-પદવીમાં બિરાજમાન મોટી પાર્શ્વનાથ ભગવાનની પ્રતિમાજી (પહેલો ફોટો) નીરવ શાંતિપૂર્ણ ભાવવાળી અને ખૂબ આકર્ષક સ્મિતવાળી છે.
પરમ પૂજય ભાઈશ્રી દિગમ્બર સંપ્રદાયના આચાર્ય શ્રી વિદ્યાસાગરજી મહારાજના શિષ્યા સાધ્વીજી આદર્શમાતા સતીજીને મળ્યા. તેમણે આપણે ત્યાં નિયમિત થતી ધ્યાન-શિબિરનો બાંધો તથા જુદી જુદી કક્ષાના સાધકો સમ્યગદર્શનના લક્ષ સાથે સાધના કરતા હોય છે તે તેમને સમજાવ્યું.
સાધ્વજીએ ધ્યાન અને સ્વાધ્યાયને લગતા ઘણા પ્રશ્નો પૂછ્યા. તેમણે ભલામણ કરી કે જે ખોરાક લેવાય તે તથા શિબિરની બહારના વાતાવરણમાં સાધકોનું વાણી-વર્તન, ધ્યાનશિબિરને સહાયકારી અને અનુકુળ હોવું જોઈએ.
Day 8 - Aharji
Aharji is found at a remote location, green and lush.
There is a wonderful 21 foot standing idol of Lord Shantinath, which is over 840 years old.
Aharji is both a Siddha Kshetra and an Atishay Kshetra. We know of two souls who attained Moksha nearby, during the times of Mallinath Bhagwan and Mahavir Bhagwan. It is also the site of a number of miraculous occurrences.
The presence in our lives of Param Pujya Bhaishree gives us direct access to ancient and otherwise remote wisdom, empowering us on the journey, the pilgrimage, to recognising and realising the Siddha-nature within us.
અહારજી શહેરથી દૂર આવેલું એક સ્થાન છે જે લીલીછમ હરીયાળીથી ભરપૂર છે.
અહીં ૨૧ ફુટ ઊભી, શાંતિનાથ ભગવાનની અદભૂત પ્રતિમાજી છે, જે ૮૪૦ વર્ષ કરતાં પણ વધુ પ્રાચીન છે.
અહારજી સિદ્ધ ક્ષેત્ર પણ છે અને અતિશય ક્ષેત્ર પણ છે. મલ્લીનાથ ભગવાન અને મહાવીર ભગવાનની હયાતીના સમયગાળા દરમ્યાન બે આત્માઓ અહીંથી મોક્ષે સિધાવ્યા છે. આ સંખ્યાબંધ ચમત્કારીક ઘટનાઓનું સ્થાન છે.
આપણા જીવનમાં પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીની ઉપસ્થિતિને કારણે આપણને સૌને પ્રત્યક્ષ કે પરોક્ષ રીતે, પ્રાચીન તેમજ દૂર-સુદૂરના જ્ઞાનની પ્રાપ્તિ સહેલાઈથી થાય છે જે આપણને આપણી ભીતરમાં જ રહેલા એવા શુદ્ધ સ્વભાવની ઓળખાણ તેમજ સાક્ષાત્કાર કરવા માટેની મુસાફરી માટે સક્ષમ બનાવે છે.
Day 9 - Shivpuri
The last pilgrimage site was Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh, a small town in a verdant setting.
It boasts a beautifully and colourfully decorated temple dedicated to Lord Shantinath. The whole temple interior is covered with marble tiling, depicting various pilgrimage sites and scenes from the lives of Lords Shantinath, Parshvanath and other illustrious souls. Light and colour are reflected from all sides.
Param Pujya Bhaishree expressed the immense sense of peace he felt while worshiping. He said that the more one remains in the temple, the greater the sense of inner joy (prasannata).
The local Jain community was very welcoming. The trustees immediately gathered, felicitated Bhaishree and showed all pilgrims much love and respect.
ધર્મયાત્રાની છેલ્લી જગ્યા એ મધ્ય પ્રદેશમાં આવેલું લીલુછમ, હરિયાળીવાળું નાનું શહેર છે.
ભગવાન શાંતીનાથને અર્પણ થયેલું અને રંગબેરંગી રંગોથી સુંદર રીતે શણગારાયેલું જૈન દેરાસર એ તેની મોટી ખાસીયત છે. દેરાસરનો અંદરનો બધો જ ભાગ આરસપહાણની તક્તીઓથી ઢંકાયેલો છે; જેમા શાંતિનાથ ભગવાન, પાર્શ્વનાથ ભગવાન તેમજ બીજા અનુકરણીય મહાન આત્માઓના જીવનને દર્શાવતી યાત્રાળુઓ માટેની પવિત્ર જગ્યાઓને ચિત્રોથી રજુ કરાયેલા છે.
પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીને પૂજા-ભક્તિ કરતાં નીરવ, પરમ શાંતિનો અનુભવ અહીં થયો, એમ તેમણે દર્શાવ્યું, અને સાથોસાથ જણાવ્યું કે મંદિરમાં વધારે સમય રહેવાથી, વધુ ને વધુ આંતરિક પ્રસન્નતા અનુભાય.
સ્થાનિક જૈન સમાજ સ્વાગત માટે ખૂબ ઉત્સાહી હતો. તુરત જ બધા ટ્રસ્ટીઓ ભેગા થયા અને પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીનું તેમજ બીજા બધાં જાત્રાળુઓનું બહુમાન ખૂબ પ્રેમ અને આદરભાવ સાથે કર્યું.
Day 9 - Enroute to Mumbai
As we reflect on the last few days full of spirituality, history, heritage and devotion, we feel so blessed to have been with Param Pujya Bhaishree.
We could observe him in prayer, meditation and stillness. We could watch him closely interact with religious leaders, respectfully and openly sharing the truth. We could also observe his great devotion as he set foot on hallowed ground and gazed at the expressions of the idols.
His presence is itself certainly a living pilgrimage.
અધ્યાત્મ, ઈતિહાસ, સાંસ્ક્રુતિક વારસો તેમજ ઉપાસનાથી સભર છેલ્લા કેટલાક દિવસોને સ્મ્રુતિમાં આણતાં એવો અહેસાસ થાય છે કે પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીના સહવાસના કારણે અમો સૌ ધન્ય ધન્ય થયા છીએ.
અમોએ તેમને પ્રાર્થના તેમજ ધ્યાનની પરમ શાંત અને સ્થિર મુદ્રામાં નિહાળ્યા. અમોએ તેમને સાધુસંતો અને ધાર્મિક આગેવાનો સાથે સન્માનપૂર્વક અને ઘનિષ્ટતાપૂર્વક સત્ વિષેની નિખાલસ ચર્ચા કરતા પણ નિહાળ્યા. દેરાસરો અને ધાર્મિક સંસ્થાઓની પાવન ભૂમિ પર પોતાના પાદપંકજ રાખતી વખતે અને અરિહંત ભગવંતોની પાવન પ્રતિમાજીના દર્શન સમયે તેમના ચહેરા પર પ્રતિબિંબિત થતાં ભક્તિસભર ભાવોના દર્શન કરવાની તક પણ અમોને સંપ્રાપ્ત થઈ.
એમ લાગે છે કે તેઓની ઉપસ્થિતિ જ એક પાવન અને જીવંત તીર્થયાત્રા સમાન છે.
