In collaboration with the Central Government's National Handicap Finance Development Corporation, and Gujarat Minority Finance and Development Corporation, Shree Raj Saubhag's Ashirvad Trust for the Disabled organised an event for the disabled and their guardians at it's Sayla centre.
The programme aimed to educate and inform the disabled people in the region and their guardians about all the financial aid schemes available from the State and Central Governments, to support and rehabilitate disabled people and help them with means of employment and earn a livelihood.
In a vast majority of the cases of disabled people coming from poor and uneducated families, they are unaware of the aid offered by the government. In order to educate and inform such people, Ashirwad Center regularly hosts workshops to update these marginalized people of their rights and offers to help them apply for financial aid from State and Central Government organizations.
Pujya Bhaishree presided over the event. Among the distinguished guests present at the occasion was the managing director of Gujarat Minority Finance and Development Corporation, Shri Chudasama, director Shri Yusufbhai Varaiya, executive director of Blind Men’s Association Smt. Nandiniben Rawal and Brahmnisht Vikrambhai.
A total of 510 disabled people from Surendranagar District participated and benefited from the event.
